Zorb Exhibition

This project, as the name entails, was based around a large Zorb. In this case the Zorb was the centrepiece in a large art installation being designed by artist Julian Maher as she completed her Masters in Fine Art. The work on this project culminated in a one-night exhibition at the Hastings Community Arts Centre where the Zorb acted as a central viewing point for a multimedia presentation and light show.

This was the first time a Zorb has ever been used in an art/media role in the world.

I served as an animator for the video shown on the Zorb, provided technical support on the night (relating to the data projector used) and as well as providing help and ideas throughout the process from inception to completion. The video itself was designed in Flash with numerous adjustments over a period of a few months. Julian was very happy with the final product, especially with its display on the Zorb during the exhibition.

Raw images were supplied by Julian, with additionally graphical editing done by myself. Images were animated in under direction by Julian, though for large stretches she left me to my own initiative.

Overall I'm pleased with the final result, and the exhibition was a blast. Can't wait for the next Zorb project.
